Melarsomine, identified by CAS number 128470-15-5, is a notable compound with significant therapeutic applications. Melarsomine is a trypanocidal agent marketed by Merial under the trade name Immiticide. It is the only FDA-approved treatment for adult heartworm infection in dogs, however, is is not approved for use in dogs with late-stage infection.
