Pharmaoffer: Account Manager
Haarlem, The Netherlands – Fulltime/Parttime Position
At Pharmaoffer, we’re on a mission to revolutionise how medicine makers find the pharmaceutical ingredients they need for the production of their medicines. With our online B2B marketplace we serve more than 12,000 pharmaceutical companies worldwide. From huge multinationals to local pharmacies preparing medicines for just one patient.
Our challenge is to fight medicine shortages by connecting medicine producers directly with producers of the ingredients, instead of them being solely dependent on trading companies. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in the pharma market, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
About the role
In a very traditional market, Pharmaoffer is shaking things up. A lot of companies that produce active pharmaceutical ingredients, barely have a functioning website, if they even have one! Similar to the B2C market, for example Airbnb, we want to show them that buyers are opting more and more to use online platforms to find new suppliers.
So, we want to have them on our trading platform, where they can showcase which products they have, to receive inquiries by pharma professionals and to receive and process orders on.
Your job is to contact them and to onboard them. And of course to make sure they remain satisfied with being listed on the platform!
- Contacting new and existing customers to discuss their needs
- Represent our company’s services
- Giving (online) sales pitches to a range of international prospective clients
- Building fruitful business relationships
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs
- Achieving planned sales goals
- Promoting our organization and service
- Visiting international pharma exhibitions and clients
- Thinking of creative ways to improve success
- Negotiating prices and terms and preparing sales agreements
But that’s not all. We’re a startup, dynamically working together on the same goal. Helping out co-workers in other departments happens all the time!
What we’re looking for
- A high degree of self-motivation and ambition
- 2-5 years experience in sales jobs
- Not afraid to pick up the phone
- Time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Fluency in English languages (written and verbal)
- Hungry to learn and develop your own skills
Awesome if you also
- Speak Dutch or additional languages
- Have experience in the pharmaceutical industry
