Pharmaoffer: Junior (front/back)-end developer
Haarlem, The Netherlands – Fulltime/Parttime Position
At Pharmaoffer, we’re on a mission to revolutionise how medicine makers find the pharmaceutical ingredients they need for the production of their medicines. With our online B2B marketplace we serve more than 12,000 pharmaceutical companies worldwide. From huge multinationals to local pharmacies preparing medicines for just one patient.
Our challenge is to fight medicine shortages by connecting medicine producers directly with producers of the ingredients, instead of them being solely dependent on trading companies. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in the pharma market, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
About the role
We believe in the power of a user-friendly tech platform to fight global medicine shortages worldwide. We are open to applicants that have experience with either front-end or back-end; or both! As our junior developer, you will be responsible for:
- Improve the overall experience for users on the platform
- Develop new- and improve existing features to the application
- Write quality code
- Make sure the website is performing at its best (website speed, availability and rendering)
- Collaborate with colleagues to execute improvements on the platform
- Making sure our platform is compatible with devices from desktop to smartphone
- Optimizing the backend
But that’s not all. We’re a startup, dynamically working together on the same goal. Helping out co-workers in other departments happens all the time!
What we’re looking for
- You have 1+ year experience in software development
- At least bachelor’s level degree in computer science or similar
- Time management skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Experience with CSS, PHP, Symfony
- Utilizing tools for version control and issue tracking
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Awesome if you also
- Have experience in the pharmaceutical industry or platform economy
- Bring your own rubber ducky
